I love the start of a new season, when boutiques fill with exciting new collections. I used to work for agnes b. and the best day of the week was Wednesday when the delivery arrived. There was something about a box of new clothing from Paris that had the whole team in a flutter. The deliveries would include beautifully boxed leather handbags, tailored dresses and pretty shoes.
I am looking forward to my new season trip to London. I feel totally out of the loop if I haven't seen what all the brands are doing. I guess working in fashion and living in London never leaves you.
So far my favourite Spring / Summer collection is by Valentino. I love feminine sheer fabrics, high necks, layers, full skirts, lace, embroidery, neutral colours and vintage inspired details. I doubt I will ever be able to afford a Valentino dress, but it is nice to dream.
